Lord Krishna, the Hindu God is loved not only in India but all over the world. Bhagwad Gita – the book with his preachings is read, learnt and appreciated in many countries. Even in London, there would be these after work classes to help understand and discuss Bhagwad Gita which is in the Sanskrit language. Yesterday was Janmashtami, a festival which marks the Birthday of Krishna, who, it is believed, was born at 12 AM. This festival is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm not only in India but everywhere in the world, where there are followers of Krishna. Every year, both me and my husband celebrate this festival at our home followed by a visit to temple. Here are some pictures from our ‘Pooja’ (worship) of Krishna last night –
