Iftar at Hyatt Place Dubai – A photographic review

Sheikhland is in festive spirits these days with Ramadan going on and Eid approaching nearer. Ramadan in this part of the world means not only fasting through the day for spiritual reasons but is also marked by the yummilicious Iftar dinners in the evening with friends and family after breaking the fast.

And thus many restaurants offer delicious Iftars. It was an absolute pleasure for me to be to invited to an Iftar evening with Hyatt Place Dubai/Al Rigga, the first Hyatt Place hotel in the Middle East and the fourth Hyatt-branded hotel in Dubai.

After a warm welcome by the hotel staff, as I proceeded into the Iftar Buffet Room, I was bowled over by the sight of a whole lot of variety available including both Arabic/Indian/Italian dishes/juices/desserts.

I began with salads. I love Arabic salads – healthy and tasty. And I can survice on hummus, laban and Arabic bread. There was a whole lot of options to choose from from the salads and also the drinks.

I especially loved the Spinach Salad and the Carrot salad.

And then, it was time to go ahead to the main course. Again a whole lot of variety to choose from. The good thing was that even for a vegetarian, there were choices available. There was Harira, Adas, Tunisian Fish Tagine, Lamb Ouzzi, chicken cutlets, cheese cutlets, spaghetti, Makloba, Bamih Bil Lahem and many more.

I particularly loved the Spaghetti Arabiatta and Cheese cutlets.

And then, came my favourite time – the Desserts time (smiles).

There were fruit, Arabic sweets and the famous Indian delicacy – the Gulab Jamuns. What else do you need as the finale to a lovely Iftar? πŸ™‚

For a price of AED 99 (including juices), I think Hyatt Place is offering a beautiful treat with a whole lot of choices to spoil yourself after a day of fasting. You have healthy options available too in case you are not in the mood to indulge and I guess this is the USP for the Iftar here.
And the icing on the cake is that you are very well taken care of by them, enough to make a meal a happy meal and so completely making Hyatt Place Dubai worth a try.
