Hey gorgeous people!
How is the day coming along for you?
Third day of the work week for us here in the Sheikhland and I still can’t complain as I have been doing just what I like doing the most – blogging and who would not like it if it gets you to meet celebrities in person, achievers you would admire from far along and today it makes me very happy to share with you all that I met the very lovely, talented and famous fashion designer Jaya Misra renowned for her Indian Bridal Couture.
The occasion was the launch of her Bridal collection this SS15 at the popular Aara Fashions on 22nd March, 2015.
A believer in the seven vows of marriage and in dreams coming true, Jaya beautifully translates her belief into creating outfits that are bound to make a bride feel like the most beautiful woman on the big day of her life making it fairy-tale-gorgeous.
The designer is most famously known for her outstanding handcrafted bridal wear, which is also the USP of the brand.
The exquisite collection inspired by the wardrobes of Maharajas, boasts of everything from floor length anarkalis and cocktail saris to experimental silhouettes and flared lehengas — traditional ensembles for the contemporary Indian woman, all finished with a signature Jaya Misra luxe spin.
The designer’s also comprises of a regal range of menswear and breezy resort-wear line. While the feminine boho-chic resort wear is all about fun, flirty and flowy pieces primarily in neon greens, canary yellows and ink blues, the sharp menswear collection, Nawaz, includes smart, aesthetically appealing sherwanis, bandis and kurta pajama sets which have been specifically designed to flawlessly fuse the conventional with the contemporary.
“My label’s boho-chic aesthetic is best suited for the confident and free-spirited woman who is not afraid to stand out in a crowd. The beauty of nature also heavily inspires me. This can be seen in the earthy color palette and floral motifs I often turn to and have emerged as a signature of my brand too,” Jaya Misra states.
What I loved the most about the collection was the richness of the details carved in a riot of colours on beautiful fabrics. Weddings are all about setting out together on a path to create happiness and that’s what the collection seemed to portray – HAPPINESS.
On a personal note, during my rendezvous with Jaya, I felt truly inspired by her simplicity and down-to-earth attitude besides her talent for which she is recognized on an international level.
So, all you gorgeous ladies in the Sheikhland, do pop over to Aara Fashions at Al Wasl Road and check out this awesmeness!
Until I see you next,
