GUESS previewed its stunning Spring Summer 2016 collection at a themed fashion show at Al Qasr Hotel, Dubai.

The setting was gorgeous with Burj Al Arab in the backdrop.

The collection is casual, comfy and cool.

I loved how florals and animal prints have been incorporated in the collection.

The colour-palette is all about whites, pinks and such cool colours – absolutely apt for summer.

{EVENT} Alison Nelson’s Chocolate Bar Now Open In Palm Jumeirah

Great news for all chocolate lovers in the Sheikhland!

We have a new dessert café called Chocolate Bar now open in the Galleria Mall, Palm Jumeirah.

 

And trust me, as yummy as the name sounds, as ahhhmazing are the desserts being served in this very cosy joint, which looks very promising.

 

I was more than happy to give my diet a well deserved break and went on the launch event of the Chocolate bar which is a few minutes walk from my place.

 

And I absolutely loved my hot chocolate fudge with vanilla ice cream.

 

They also do pastas, pizzas and sandwiches.

 

Commenting at the launch event, Alison Nelson, Founder – Chocolate Bar said “We have had a remarkable journey so far for Chocolate bar in the UAE. We have been growing tremendously in the country, and we are committed to creating a memorable culinary experience for all our guests.”

{Event} Toms Store Opens at The Dubai Mall

Hey all you shoe-lovers out there in the Sheikhland!

Yours truly has got some awesome news for you if you like me are always on the look out for cool yet comfy shoes.

And today it’s not just going to be about shoes but about bringing smiles to the less privileged too.

Well, the big news is that we now have a Toms Store in the Sheikhland.

Yes … you heard it right. The famous shoe brand Toms has opened a store in the Dubai Mall.

Toms’ business model has been referred to as the “one for one concept” business model, referring to the company’s promise to deliver a pair of free, new shoes to a child in need for every sale of their retail product. The countries to which the free products are sent have included Argentina, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Haiti, Rwanda, South Africa, and the United States.

Now isn’t that so cool!

Toms are known to be super-comfy but I figured out another reason to love them for and that’s their cute canvas prints.

Toms also do eyewear.

So, I am sure you can’t wait to check this store out and so here is a sneak peek from the launch just for you.

{Event} Launch of Shoe Gallery in Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi

Life is too short to wear ugly shoes and if you are headed on the hunt for that perfect pair of yourself, Shoe Gallery is the place for you.

Shoe-heaven, quite literally, the newly opened Shoe Gallery added another feather to the rather glorious cap of the Club Apparel group.

Located in Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi, the store was inaugurated on the 3rd February 2016 by nine other than H.E. Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al-Nahayan in a grand launch event.

 

Yours truly, along with all the popular bloggers of the Sheikhland took a Limo ride upto the venue, courtesy Apparel group. If you follow me on Snapchat, you know what a fun ride it was and if you don’t yet, add me at @ChandniLahoti to get live updates of such fun events.

But what added to all the excitement, was the massive Shoe Gallery store spread across two levels boasting a collection of over 100 fashion brands under one roof.

What I really loved about this store that it is just not offering the in-house brands of the Apparel group like Pedro, Charles and Keith, Aldo, Dune London etc but alongside offered some other popular labels such as Nike, Adidas, Guess, Ralph Lauren , French Connection etc.

 

Handbag hoarders and accessories-lovers  like me too are in for a treat with Shoe Gallery showcasing handbags and accessories from the best brands in the world.

Also one can get the stuff personalised or customised if they wish.

{EVENT} Worldwide Exclusive Launch of Oud Palao by Diptyque Paris

A couple of years ago if anyone had told me I would be amongst the first few to smell one of the most beautiful perfumes by none other than Diptyque Paris, I would have never believed it. But hey, here I am, very happy and excited to be talking about a gorgeous event that I had the pleasure of attending on 1st September, 2015 in the stunning Al Nafoorah at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray – the occasion was the exclusive worldwide launch of the new fragrance by Diptyque called ‘Oud Palao’

Amidst a pretty glam guest list, was unveiled Oud Palao in the very apt ambience of Al Nafoorah – Oriental yet contemporary – very much keeping in with the traits of Oud Palao.

The bottle is a beauty and is adding charm to my vanity at the minute. Talking about the fragrance, it is spicy yet fresh, earthy yet sensual blending its components to push the composition towards muted depth and resonance.

The great thing about it is that is unisex. The key to Oud Palao lies in its diversity and balance. For every oriental note, there is another, less clearly recognisable, that harmonises with it, tempers it or subverts it.The fragrance features bulgarian rose, agarwood (oud), labdanum, madagascar vanilla, rum, tobacco, patchouli, camphor and sandalwood.

{COLLABORATION} The Supercute New Dumbo Collection by Mamas & Papas

Greetings beautiful people!

This post is going to be a mommy special one. Oh yeah! This new mommy@Sheikhland is loving every bit of being one. My little bubba turned 8 months old recently. The little cuddles and hugs seem to make every day a lot more brighter, the adorable coos have filled in my little nest with so much joy that words can’t explain and this mommy here definitely feels like the happiest girl on the planet after this munchkin has come into her life. BIG SMILE

And I am sure all you mommies to little ones would agree, how great a joy is to shop for the babies and a greater joy to fill in your phone memory with endless pictures/videos of them with the cute outfits on to make the most precious memories when these little ones are not little anymore.

And to add to my excitement for baby-shopping, one of favourite brands Mamas & Papas have come out with a NEW DUMBO COLLECTION – a collection of clothes for babies and toddlers featuring Dumbo – the adorably big-eared elephant who can fly. {EVENT} Beauty Talks with Beautiful Brands

Last week I was invited to learn all about some new beauty product launches happening in the Sheikhland this season and that is always an exciting idea for someone like me who is always keen to know what’s new brewing in the beauty industry.

The icing on the cake was the very cute café this exclusive session happened – Farmer’s garden Café at Al Wasl Vita is the new addition to my list of cute cafes in the Sheikhland. Simply loved their set-up, the ambience.

….. and the breakfast was gorgeous.

Especially these healthy juices became everyone’s favourite! For me, they were the muse for my camera that day!

Oh food, how you distract me – well, coming back to the topic, the occasion was to have a session with lovely Gemma from Beautiful brands to tell us all about some exciting brands like Urban Veda, Konjac Sponge, the Balanced Guru and Rahua, that have been gaining a lot of popularity overseas and are now available in the UAE.

These are all natural and ethical brands.

Personally I have been now trying to tilt towards the all-natural products route as they are great for the skin in the long run.

We had an interesting session and also learnt how to do a DIY home facial with the range of products.

I also received some products to try which I shall be reviewing in the detail on the blog.

{EVENT} Icons Coffee Couture Launches Sugarless Sweet & Salty Ice-creams

When everyone around is becoming so aware of health and fitness, it was great to hear about the new concept of savoury ice-creams at Icons Coffee Couture in Souk Al Bahar, where I also got to taste these salty ice-creams.
ICONS Coffee Couture is a German coffee franchise and healthy coffee joint and it recently unveiled their new range of ‘Sweet & Salty’ ice creams including not only ice cream smoothies and frappes, but also three salty ice cream dressings for salads.

Ice-cream enthusiast and innovator, Vasco Valenca De Sousa is the mind behind the Sweet & Salty range of Icons ice cream dreams which are only naturally sweetened with dates or agave to embrace healthy eating and face the summer heat with their cool ice creams.

I loved the smoothies. It was hard to tell that they had no sugar.

On being asked about his new innovation, Vasco Valenca De Sousa said, “I have always been passionate about ice creams, and so I am always looking for ways to surprise fellow ice cream enthusiasts with flavors, textures and tastes they have never experienced before. As the summer heat approaches us, I thought that an ice cream launch is definitely called for, and keeping in mind the organic and healthy theme of Icons itself I was inspired to create salad dressing ice creams to beat the heat with!”

Well, it is always great to see brands promoting healthy ways of life. Especially in a city like Dubai, which unfortunately reckoned as one of the obese cities in the world, I truly appreciate this effort to come out with a healthy yet delicious treat for the Sheikhlanders.

{CHANDNI REVIEWS} Bloggers’ Lunch at ‘the East Kitchen’

Hey lovely people of the internet! 🙂

It’s Thursday – the happiest day in the Sheikhland when everyone I am sure is busy planning up the much awaited weekend and well here is something that I would love to share with you all if you too are a foodie like me and love exploring new places to eat on the weekends.

So yesterday I was delighted to be invited to a Bloggers’ Lunch organised by my favourite ladies from the Tish Tash PR agency. It was great to meet the fellow bloggers and hey there was this little gem of a place that I got to discover yesterday – the East kitchen in JLT is a fusion kitchen which serves the freshest of ingredients and you can choose from salads to sushi to curries.

I got to try a variety of lovely food from their menu from spring rolls to sushi to noodles to curries.

… and let me tell y’all, it was yummilicious.

My favourite was the Shanghai noodles and the spring rolls.

Well if you are a sushi-lover , you would love to know the tempting family and wallet friendly offer they are running at the moment – every Saturday evening between 6 pm to 11 pm you can enjoy unlimited sushi all for AED 99. Now how fantastic an offer is that!

And all you mommies out there, for children up the age of 10, this place is offering beginner friendly maki rolls for lunch and dinner for AED 20 only.

And oh my God, their desserts are AHHMAZING.

They do some delicious Banana spring rolls too.

East Kitchen also offers free home delivery within New Dubai, so I guess foodwise, I have sorted out the weekend for you. If you do go and try this place, I would love to hear in comments.
